Every Part Every Interval — calculates how frequently each part number must be produced given your available capacity and changeover times. A key input to scheduling and supermarket sizing.
How EPEI works: The EPEI is the shortest interval at which you can produce every part number at least once given your capacity. A smaller EPEI means lower WIP and shorter lead times. Formula: EPEI = Total changeover time ÷ (Available time − Total run time required).
